Crystal, BSN, RN, CA-CP SANE, SANE-A
President / CEO / SANE Coordinator / FNE
Crystal became an RN in 2014 after receiving her BSN from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Since 2018, she has worked as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) to provide care and education to victims of sexual assault. Her passion for helping people and experience with trauma has led her to start this non-profit, where she believes that victims of trauma should not just survive, but thrive.

AJ, BSN, RN
Secretary / COO
Arianne (AJ) became an RN in 2014 after receiving her BSN from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her passion toward Forensic Nursing was sparked by our President, Crystal. She leans on her past experience as an inpatient med-tele nurse and her previous management of a small family business when providing victim services and performing her administrative duties.

Missty is the proud mother of one son and a recent BSN graduate. Her life goal is to provide compassionate, holistic care to everyone in her care.

Amy, BSN, RN, SANE-A, RNC-MNN, IPVNE
FNE in training
Amy earned her BSN from Jacksonville University in 2012 and has served in the U.S. Navy for over 26 years. Since 2013, she has specialized as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), providing expert care and education to survivors. Dual-certified in forensic nursing (SANE-A) and maternal-child health (RNC-MNN), Amy brings a high level of specialized skill to her practice. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and two children.

Tiffiney, BSN, RN
FNE in training
Tiffiney is a nurse with a heart for helping people through some of their most difficult moments. She began her career as an LVN in 2021 gaining experience in acute care settings including medical-surgical and now as an RN in perioperative care. These roles have taught her the importance of attention to detail, trust, and compassionate care, especially when patients are at their most vulnerable.

Kelly
Kelly currently works as the Lead Integrated Primary Prevention Specialist with the Texas Military Department – IPPW – J9. She has 2 years experience as a victim advocate and as a SANE Coordinator for a community based program. She served our country in the Air Force from 2009-2017.

Tracy
Tracy is married with 3 children. She manages a small business that combines her love of photography, digital creations, and baking. She loves using her creativity to bring a smile to those she works with.

Our Medical Directors

Lora Spiller, MD, FAAP
Child Abuse Pediatrician, Pediatric Medical Director
Dr. Lora Spiller is an Associate Professor in the Division of Child Abuse Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health San Antonio and serves as the Medical Director of the CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital Forensic Nurse Examiner Program. She is double board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of child abuse and neglect and is actively involved in advancing education and promoting best practices in child abuse pediatrics. Dr. Spiller is a member of the Texas Pediatric Society, the Ray E. Helfer Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Child Abuse and Neglect.

Dr. Bilhartz, DO, MPH
Adult Medical Director
Dr. Teri Bilhartz is a board-certified specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, holding a Master of Public Health from Columbia University. With a diverse clinical background spanning gynecology, obstetrics, primary care, and urgent care, she brings a holistic perspective to her role as Medical Director.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Bilhartz has served as teaching faculty at her alma mater, Touro University. She maintains active licensure across six states—Texas, California, New York, Virginia, Florida, and Georgia—reflecting her broad commitment to accessible care. Outside of her professional work, she is an avid jogger and hiker who enjoys coaching youth sports and spending time with her husband and three children.
