Crystal, BSN, RN, CA-CP SANE, SANE-A
President / CEO

Crystal became an RN in 2014 after receiving her BSN from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Since 2018, she has worked as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) to provide care and education to victims of sexual assault. Her passion for helping people and experience with trauma has led her to start this non-profit, where she believes that victims of trauma should not just survive, but thrive.

AJ, BSN, RN
Secretary / COO

Arianne (AJ) is an RN with over 7 years experience as an inpatient med-tele nurse and has managed a small family business since 2011. She is married with two boys and enjoys spending free time with family. Her passion toward Forensic Nursing was sparked by our President, Crystal, and she is looking forward to combining her business management and nursing experience to serve the community.

Missty, ADN, RN
Treasurer

Missty is the proud mother of one son and a recent ADN graduate. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her life goal is to provide compassionate, holistic care to everyone in her care.

Kelly

Kelly works diligently as the Victim Assistance Coordinator at the Comal County District Attorney’s Office. She has 2 years experience as a victim advocate and as a SANE Coordinator for a community based program. She served our country in the Air Force from 2009-2017.

Tracy

Tracy is married with 3 children. She manages a small business that combines her love of photography, digital creations, and baking. She loves using her creativity to bring a smile to those she works with.

Dr. Saba, MD, FACEP
Medical Director

Dr. Saba Haq is a Southern California native.  Her early years took her around the world to Europe and Southeast Asia for her parent’s professional careers where she lived the Expat life attending International and American schools in Greece and Singapore.

Saba completed her medical studies at UCLA and her residency at UC Davis in Emergency Medicine/Critical care.  Throughout her 25 year career Saba has cared for many victims of trauma and has had a passion to continue in some capacity to contribute to the support of victims of trauma and assault.  She is excited to join Bluebird’s Hope’s mission as their medical director.

Saba enjoys her down time in travel and outdoor adventures with her spouse and 4 children.  She is an avid fan of daily meditation and exercise, yoga, a good book, and spontaneous travel adventures.


Laci, BSN, RN

Laci is a wife and mother of 4, who became an RN in 2020. She’s currently a nurse at a progressive care unit and is also pursuing her calling as a forensic nurse. She fulfills her role with the sentiment that, (her) “vision of nursing is to entrust and allow God to use my brokenness and blessings to promote the welfare and healing of others.” She is prayerful that her interaction with each patient will make a lasting and nurturing impression upon them.

Jeanette, Ed.D, MSN, RN, CA-SANE

Jeanette has been an RN for over 35 years. Starting her nursing education path with an ASN. She used her GI Bill to pay for her BSN from Loma Linda University. Jeanette served in the USAFR as a flight nurse from 1988 – 1998. She has since gone on to get her Master Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in public health and injury prevention. Jeanette completed her Ed.D at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Nursing Leadership. She is so excited to be with Bluebirds Hope to support their mission. 

Danna, PhD, RN, CPN  

Danna has been a nurse for over 20 years. Working with critically and chronically ill patients, she developed a passion for being present and supporting people in crisis. Her other passion is teaching, both patients and future nurses. Whether working with patients or students, she understands the importance of meeting people where they are in the moment. Danna’s passions motivated her to become involved in forensic nursing, and she is honored to be serving the community through the work of Bluebird’s Hope.
